Honestly, this barrel is amazing. Its looks really cool with porting going half-way down the barrel. With a pump gun, you need to be accurate with your one shot. I can actually aim at someone far away now, and hit them! It's as simple as that!
I purchased the 14" barrel because I want my gun to be super accurate, I don't know why someone would get the 12" for a pump when the 14" is available.
As for the noise level, the gun isn't that much quieter but you can definitely tell that there is a difference. Also, instead of making that ugly popping sound when you shoot, you hear a beautiful (I'm not exaggerating) smooth shot - it's so significant that it's worth mentioning.
I love my SL-68 and I wouldn't trade it for any other pump on the market. And now I can actually hit people! Just scroll up and buy it right this second - it'll make your gun perfect.

I have yet to use the new barrel, but it definetly improves the appearnce of the marker.
