As the title indicated, this only really worked well in my "original" M98, not the 98 custom of any flavor (I have all of them). I could get it into a Custom by taking one side of the marker off, putting the adapter onto the threads and tightening the side back onto the adapter, but that's something that having done once I'm not much interested in repeating.
It's a VERY well made part, just as everything LAPCO makes is, it's just really only good on one type of 98, the original non-custom.
The only 98 this fit into is an original M98
