This weaver rail will mount to the top or the bottom of a M4/M16 barrel shroud.  (This is what a US Army Alpha Black has).  With this mount, you can add things like front grips on your paintball gun.   The other solution to adding rail mounted items on an Alpha Black is to use the Carver One Shroud.
