The 98 Custom Platinum Series is an upgrade from your old 98 custom with a split body you may take apart just half your marker instead of removing the entire front half of the body. With the 98 Custom Platinum you'll also find several upgrades you may use such as a Response trigger, Cyclone feed a no kick bolt an E-Trigger and more! With the 98 Custom Platinum Series you wont be disappointed!

Tippmann Parts Staff Thoughts:

This is the most modern version of the Tippmann 98, which began in 1998. It is a metal body (very durable) paintball gun with lots of upgrade options. The ACT (anti chop technology) allows the front bolt to disconnect from the rear hammer. This will prevent the bolt from chopping balls in half that have not fully loaded into the breach.

Alternatives to the 98 Custom ACT:

If you don't need the anti chop feature (this would be if you are adding a Cyclone feed to the 98), there is no reason to get this and you should get the 98 Ultra basic version.

Upgrades:

There are lot of Tippmann 98 upgrades and mods.

The first one to consider is always an aftermarket barrel. We really like the Lapco barrels for performance.
